Andon was founded on a simple observation: the buyers who need modern web software most — the machine builders, integrators, and manufacturers running twenty-four seven — struggle to find engineers who can talk to both a PLC and a browser. The two skills live in different worlds, and the gap costs real money.

The studio grew out of a decade of automation engineering — Siemens S7 PLCs, KUKA robotics, OPC-UA, industrial networking, on-site commissioning. Around that, a modern software practice: Python backends, SvelteKit frontends, PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB, Docker deployments, WebSocket real-time. The combination is unusual and, for the right project, disproportionately valuable.

We work on operator dashboards, custom web HMIs, IoT platforms, telemetry pipelines, and the software layer that connects shop-floor data to the tools people use to run the business. We prefer engagements where the software has to be honest — where operators depend on it, where a stale timestamp is a real problem, and where "prototype quality" would embarrass everyone involved.
